Christmas songs are not always subject to the traditional flavours that we have grown accustomed to.  After the years of the crooners and Big Bands, Rock'n'Roll bands and personas have thrown in their hat to recreate a new style of Christmas tunes.  And many of us have our favourites.  Dance tune star, Kristine W (“Land of the Living,” “One More Try,” “Stronger”) releases a six-track EP of some original tracks and traditional favourites along with a Bonus track of an original sung with Jim Brickman.

These are true blue dance floor renditions of tunes that include a version of “Oh, Holy Night” that you haven't heard yet.  She provides the same 'disco-fied' fuel to Rodgers and Hammerstein's “Favorite Things” (The Sound of Music).  The bonus track with Jim Brickman dispenses with the dance-beat to strip down to Kristine's talented voice and the piano accompaniment by Brickman for a nice, pleasant end tune.

Hey, Mr Christmas is another way to enjoy the holidays.  It has plenty of spirit, particularly the one that likes to move feet across dance floors.

Hey Mr Christmas releases exclusively to Borders and iTunes.
