Hello and welcome back to another addition of Duane’s Pit Stop. This week we're kind of dry with the Punk gab but I did take the time to get some pictures of Matt Rowe's family pictures courtesy of his Brother. Also, I wanted to answer some reader questions. Cynthia from
Alabama
asks what are my views of the Lollapalooza cancellation of shows for this summer. “Well Cynthia, to be honest with you the line up was really weak. Having Morrissey playing on the same venue ticket with Sonic Youth is just way too bizarre. That wouldn’t draw to much attention from either of their fans” but as you know Cynthia, the times are really changing. What could have been a awesome show some years back apparently just isn’t cutting the mustard these days and that blows because I really wanted to see the Pixies as well. James from
Northern California
also asks what Matt Rowe looks like. Well James, do you remember the movie Monster’s Ball with
Halle
Berry
? She had a sorry ass fat little boy who was just pathetic as hell. Well that fat kid is a spitting image of Matt Rowe. Here’s a link of his picture in case you forgot.
With that being said let’s get to the news. Have a killer weekend.
LOLLAPALOOZA, 2004 CANCELS ALL DATES - "You can imagine the dismay I share at this moment with the artists and musicians who were looking forward to the tour. Lollapalooza could no longer see fit to continue this year. Our plight is a true indication of the general health of the touring industry and it is across musical genres. Unexhausted is our virtue. We are taking Lollapalooza back and plan on rebuilding and recreating the festival in surroundings more conducive to the cultural experience we've become known for."

Hot Water Music's Chuck Ragan injured - Bad news about Hot Water Music guitarist Chuck Ragan was just announced by bassist Jason Black:
Alright, we've got some pretty seriously bad news. This last week, while out on the Honda Civic Tour with Dashboard Confessional, Thrice, and The Get Up Kids, Chuck seriously injured his left hand and has to get reconstructive surgery tomorrow. If all goes well, Chuck should be done with physical therapy and ready to go by the time we hit the road again this fall. Right now he can't play guitar for 8 weeks and won't have full motion or feeling for 12 weeks to 3 years. So, he asked me to say thanks to everyone who was at the shows last week and if you could all maybe summon up some good thoughts for a homey, he'd appreciate it. We'll keep you posted on his progress over the next few months and,
Darwin
willing, we'll see you this fall sometime.

"... the show is going to be on sometime this week, maybe as early as Tuesday night, so check that out. I'm a little nervous, because they really make everyone look a little like a douche on that show, but I have confidence that team conservative punk will significantly and gloriously out douche me."
