Duane's Pit Stop Welcome back to an other Pit Stop this week. We have some good UK news as well as some great US punk news. I also want to thank Justin for his input on the latest Drop Kick Murphys' tour saying it was a very eventful night with tons of energy and a cheerful crowd. Also that The Dropkick Murphys' are a sight to see this year. Well, Justin, thanks for that info. I will surely check them out when they're here in the States. With that in mind, lets do what we do best and lets slam! More Rancid Dates! - Here is the full list (!) of dates for Rancid's first UK Tour in 5 years! Thursday September 11th Birmingham Academy Stretch Armstrong will be supporting on all dates except Glasgow. Sage Francis has signed to Epitaph!!! Distillers for V2003 - The Distillers will be playing the second stage at the V Festival on Saturday 16th August at Weston Park Staffordshire and on Sunday 17th at Hylands Park Chelmsford. FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES TOUR May 31 Donington, ENG @ THE DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL on the Kerrang Stage Rollins And Morris For The West Memphis Three - Former Black Flag singers Henry Rollins and Keith Morris are on tour again with Mother Superior, planning to perform classic Black Flag songs to raise money for the West Memphis Three. If you don't know who or what the WM3 is, go to this site and be enlightened. Lookout! Records - is releasing a couple compilations with material from their first 7" releases on them, the first contains seven bands (that means over 47 tracks for you!) and is set to drop June 17th. The first volume includes tracks by Corrupted Morals, Isocracy, and Plaid Retina's debut EP. Volume 2 is still in production. The Sacrifice For Living Sacrifice - It's lights out for the Solid State band who have decided to end their 13 year long run of crazy hardcore music. Living Sacrifice explains that due to personal reasons and family obligations, the band will be finishing up their last shows in the coming weeks and will be forced to cancel the rest of their June and July dates. No further tours or albums are planned, and the band thanks the fans for everything and encourages everyone to come out to their last shows. LS' official statement can be viewed here. Quadruple Touring For Triple Crown - Four of Triple Crown Records' bands have geared up to hit the road. Brand New is hitting the UK as well and the US, and Death Threat, xDisciplex AD and Northstar are also setting out to cover the entire United States. Bands also playing spots on the tours include Senses Fail, Agnostic Front, Madball, Figure Four, River City High, The Beautiful Mistake, Moneen and more. Dates for the four tours stem from from May all the way through July, so head over to Triple Crown and see when the bands will be heading to you. Eye Spy An Addition - Eyeball Records is proud to annouce the newest addition to their ever growing lists of bands (including acts like My Chemical Romance and Sleep Station). The newbies are a fivesome called The Oval Portrait. The band is gearing up to start recording their deubt for the label this summer and plan to begin extensively playing shows and touring. You can give the guys a warm welcome on the Eyeball site, or head over to TOP's homepage. Expect good things coming. Before You Go Michigan band - Before I Go have announced the departure of their drummer, Adam, for personal reasons. Though the band has had to cancel a few upcoming shows, the guys are now on the look out for someone to fill the spot.
