Hello and welcome back to another Duane’s Pit Stop. In this week's edition, I had made a promise to the inbred Justin Timberlake loving Editor of this site, Little Matt Rowe that I would post some sissy Munsters pictures for Halloween. Well, you Bastard Matt, here’s your damn scary pictures. Now go change your underwear. As for this week's information on punk, it’s some what light this week but I was able to get some info on the great Indie labels signings for new bands and some tour dates. Also I wanted to apologize to Art from the band, the Shrooms. Unfortunately I was unable to attend your gig last week. But don’t count me out bro. A beer's coming your way. With that in tow, let's do we do best and get to the news.

Ferret Music Signs ZAO - Ferret Music is reporting that they have signed Zao. This is from www.ferretstyle.com : Some things won't stay dead, heart and passion and the drive to keep making music won't let that blood stop pumping. The legendary Zao have returned with their full line up fronted by their only new addition. Youve seen them on tour throughout the US in the past months. 'Burn Beautiful' their next album, will be recorded March 2004 and see life Summer 2004. Well have music for you well before that. A producer for the effort is being confirmed now.

AFI Announce Next Single - AFI has announced plans to release Silver and Cold as the latest single from Sing The Sorrow! Details will be announced as they are received, so stay tuned!

Ester Drang - Was involved in a serious collision outside of St. Louis, MO on October 18, in which a car crossed into their lane, impacting the back of the van as well as the trailer and totaling all of the band's equipment. No one in the band sustained any injuries and they are soldiering on with their tour despite using equipment borrowed from their gracious friends and supporters.

New Fueled By Ramen Sampler - The limited edition "I <3 Ramen" sampler is done! This gorgeous piece of plastic contains totally bodacious artwork, unreleased tracks by upcoming FBR artists Roy and Punchline, along with free tracks from perennial favorites Fall Out Boy, The A.K.A.s (are everywhere!), and Teen Idols. The sampler is available on the upcoming Less Than Jake / Fall Out Boy tour, or on our on-line webstore when you purchase any CD or t-shirt. The artwork inside the CD features interviews of the bands and Vinnie of LTJ where they ask each other questions.

See The Dropkick Murphys/Boston Bruins T.V. Commercial - As you may have heard, the Dropkick Murphys will perform live at the Fleetcenter on Saturday November 15th immediately following the Boston Bruins NHL hockey game against the Vancouver Canucks.

The Dropkick's set is sure to include their Boston Bruins anthem "Time To Go" played live for the first time in front of the team and fans they wrote it for. Expect a great night with lots of surprises, who knows maybe even some of the players will join in on stage for a song or two!

New CKY DVD - CKY has a new DVD called "Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild - The Video Album". It contains videos for every song on their last album IDR. The first pressing is also limited edition and comes with a 3-HOUR bonus dvd called "Chopped and Sliced". It's available on 11/18/03 but can be preordered now.

The band is playing a huge Halloween show at the Electric Factory in phili on Friday and then doing a instore at Tower in South Street in phili on 11/1/03. Your ticket to the instore is the preorder of the DVD. There are also playing at the TLA in Phili on 11/1/03.

Oct 28 Date at Soma in San Diego Rescheduled for Dec 18 - Drive-Thru / Geffen recording artists Something Corporate, whose headlining tour in support of their brand new album North was due to start tomorrow in San Diego, CA, have been forced to postpone their show at SOMA due to the wildfires that are currently ravaging communities across Southern California. The date has been rescheduled for December 18th.

"We didn't really feel right about putting on a show when our fans should be home with their families," said Something Corporate lead singer/pianist Andrew McMahon. "We're looking forward to playing San Diego in December."

Ten major wildfires that destroyed more than 800 homes and killed more than 13 people continued to burn today from the Mexican border to the suburbs north of Los Angeles. Described as the worst fires in Southern California in more than 10 years, Governor Gray Davis has declared a state of emergency in San Diego, Los Angeles, Ventura and San Bernardino Counties.

Tickets purchased for the October 28th date at SOMA will be honored on December 18th. No word whether the other bands on the bill will perform on 12/18.

Debut Album by the Clockwork Affiliate - The debut album by The Clockwork Affiliate has just been pressed and is hitting stores near you. The band was once known as Aboutface. For a free sample CD send E-mail to Aboutface10@aol.com, with name and address, a cd will be on it's way shortly after.

The Chemistry Touring East Coast - The Chemistry will be heading out on the road with Zao, Beloved, This Day Forward, & The Bled over the next month and a half. This is their first nation wide tour. Go to the website for full tour dates.

Blatant Finger Signs to Pelado Records - Columbus, Ohio band Blatant Finger have recently signed to Pelado Records. The band is now putting the final touches on their album set to be released in Jan/Feb 2004. In the meantime the band will be touring the Mid West and East Coast then in early 2004 the West Coast. Desoto Jones Debut E.P - Desoto jones, southern NJ rock outfit, (ex members of A Long Winter,) just posted a new song off their self-released ep. The recording/mixing/mastering was done in 3 days by Nick Rotundo at Clay Creek Studios in Newark, Delaware. Southcott Loses a Member Before National Tour - Before Southcotts first national tour, they lost a member and gained a new one and taught him the songs 3 days before a 2-1/2 week tour. However, they have bounced back strong and have signed with OneLineMedia managment corp. They plan to release a second EP entitled, "By Valour And Arms" due out in winter 2003. They will be on tour all of December, check their site for tour dates.

Bryan from Hat Trick - Bryan (drummer for Seattle punk band Hat Trick) is embarking on a nationwide tour w/ his side project and Seattle rock group called Trana.

Hard Rock Cafe is sponsoring the tour featuring many other rock groups as well. Members from these groups consist of 80s rock stars including: Yes, White Snake, Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Todo, Great White and more. Tour dates are as follows. They also get to ride on some sweet tour buses.

Sick Of It All / Most Precious Blood / The Program - Lambgoat is reporting commencing in late November, NYC hardcore acts Sick Of It All and Most Precious Blood will be headed out on tour together. Suburban Home signs Laymen Terms -Suburban Home Records has just announced [on their snazzy new re-designed webpage] that they have signed Laymen Terms, from Colorado Springs, CO. The band has previously released two CDs via Soda Jerk Records. They will be recording a single for the label this November, and then will commence work on their new full-length in early 2004.

Blatant Finger sign to Pelado - "Columbus, Ohio band Blatant Finger signs to Pelado Records. Blatant Finger are finishing up the debut release for Pelado Records now. The release should see a late Jan early Feb 2004 release. In the meantime the band will be playing the Mid West with a East Coast tour to follow and West Coast in early 2004 to support the release.
