Duane's Pit Stop GBH - Circle Jerks Missing - 23rd - Circle Jerks, Missing 23rd Tour British veteran punkers GBH and California hardcore greats The Circle Jerks are teaming up with Sessions Records artist Missing 23rd for a multiple city tour. GBH and The Circle Jerks are classics, and if you were too young to see them tour, don't pass this up. The Missing 23rd are a fast, fun loving, skatepunk band hailing from Ventura, Ca. Slick Shoes - The new Slick Shoes CD, "Far From Nowhere," will be in stores next week. The Slackers - The Slackers Play the Knitting Factory in This week on July 2nd & 3rd. Check out the brand new MP3 for 'Mommy', a track off their upcoming release titled "Close My Eyes" which will be released Sept. 9th. The Transplants & Snoop - Transplants will be musical guests on an upcoming Snoop Dog's Doogy Fizzle Televizzle show on MTV. Look for it this month. Rob $R Aston has been performing a new Rancid song titled Red Hot Moon with Rancid on the current Warped Tour. The Gimme Gimmes have a new album, "Take A Break," is out now and is soaring to the top of the charts. What charts, we're not exactly sure. Our pals over at No Idea Records and Jade Tree Records will also be releasing two Gimmes 7"s later this month as well. Spike and the boys are everywhere this Summer. It's going to be released on Atlanta's GMM Records. GMM also carries such bands as Oxymoron, Anti-Hero, and Patriot. They have also pumped out music by The Dropkick Murphys and The Business. Left Unsaid Cd Release - Pushed Back Left Unsaid's new cd ''The Curse'' has been pushed back about 10 days due to some problems with the artwork. Everybody look for it in stores around July 10th. This album is a compilation of classic Joykiller material and a bunch of unreleased stuff that was suppose to be on the "Gentleman Jack Ghrisham" record that never happened. F-Minus - On Tour All August The band is heading out on tour for the entire month of August with The Forgotten and Global Threat. The tour will run through Florida, Texas and end in California. We don't know all the dates yet but here are some dates Tiger Army To Start Working On New Album - Nick 13 & Geoff this past week; Fred Hell is back in action and the band have begun rehearsing together for the first time since Fred's unfortunate injuries back in March. The band have new songs written and have begun working on the new material. New Bouncing Souls Mp3 - The new Bouncing Souls album, "Anchors Aweigh" hits stores on August 26th, and you can listen to the song "Kids and Heroes" here: http://www.epitaph.com/bands/index.php?id=319 The Bouncing Souls are going to be playing Hellfest this weekend Bayside Hits Studio - News on the recording front - Bayside, one of Long Island's coolest young bands is hitting the studio in October to record their Victory debut. They will record with Sean O'Keefe (Motion City Soundtrack, Spitalfield, Fall Out Boy) at his brand new studio here in Chicago. The album will be entitled "Sirens and Condolences" and will release in early 2003.
Drive-Thru Is Coming Through Full Speed It looks as though Drive-Thru Records and its bands are dropping everything and coming together at once. This summer will see the explosive Drive-Thru tour featuring the line-up of The Starting Line, Home Grown, Allister, The Early November, and Senses Fail. If you don't see your favourite DTR band on there, no worries - they're probably out on tour across the country, anyway. The DTR tour, however, will have surprise guests from the label on different dates. Keep your eyes peeled for the tour rolling through your town. Dates start August 22nd, Drive-Thru has the skinny. August will also bring the debut of the Drive-Thru tour compilation, so look out for that. In related Drive-Thru news, the label has announced the addtion of Jersey's Hidden In Plain View to the family. The band will be releasing a four song CD in mid-Septemeber to show you what they're made of and what to expect in the future. Make sure you keep up with Drive-Thru and all its happenings. From Autumn To Ashes To Vagrants - Melodic hardcore band From Autumn to Ashes has been signed to the overlords of all things emo, Vagrant Records. The label, most famous for releasing Dashboard Confessional and The Get Up Kids on the unexpectant world, will be releasing the band's next album, The Fiction We Live on September 9th, 2003. Thin Dark Line On The Horizon - Baltimore, MD indie-rock band Thin Dark Line are proving to be one of the better bands gaining steam in the East, and now it's your turn to check them out. The band has just released a new EP that'll make your head spin. Tracks from the disc are available at Mp3.com/ThinDarkLine. Then of course, you can snag more info on the band at their official site. These guys are like the second coming of The Beatles...uhm, yeah. Make sure to check them out and head over to their site. You won't be disappointed. Juliana Theory Fall Tour and More - The Juliana Theory have announced their fall tour plans - First they will be playing with REM and De La Soul at the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle, Washington, then they're off on their headlining tour. Tourmates include. Hopesfall, Count the Stars, Celebrity and Punchline. The band has also posted some new buddy icons and desktop backgrounds for download at their website and you can check out the tracklist to their upcoming live album and download the song "Duane Joseph (DJ)" off it while you're there.
