I was called to task for the lack of information concerning upcoming Nick Cave issues coming from the man. For the exclusions, I deeply and humbly apologize. By now, the news is old hat to many of you but here's the scoop for those who haven't heard yet. Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds will have their thirteenth album issued in September of this year. The album is a 2CD issue called Abattoir Blues / A Lyre for Orpheus. Additionally, the boys are talking about a collection of BSides and rarities album and are anticipating a February release. Forgive now, Adam?
While we're at it, an interesting question was posed by a reader who asks "..how many people, being fans of a certain band or artist and having lost touch somehow, walk into a record store and discover their favourite band or artist has an album (or two..or three) on the shelves?" It's obvious that we do lose track for whatever reasons but it sure has happened to me before. So, for the fun of it, how many of you have walked into a store and was shocked to see a release of a band that has completely traveled and slipped under your radar? And, for extra bonus reverberations, how shocked were you? Email me here with the stories.
We have some fun release notes for you as well as a few reviews via John Dunphy's Capsule Reviews. Dw started these nifty little reviews and y'know, folks liked them. Additionally, it provides a better forum to address more music and we'll certainly use them. They are becoming as popular with us as with the readers. Watch for more of them. I'm doing some right now as we speak.
Awright...we're outta your hair...for now. Til t'morra.
