Daily Post

Have you ever had a 'freight train' cold? One minute you're fine, the next, you're sick, really sick? Sunday morning for me. And it sure felt like a train passed through on it's way to Chicago. No, I don't mean the Bears gettin' their tails whooped by Green Bay either, although that hurt too. In any case, recovery from this cold is the goal of the day for me. We'll keep this short. We have a few additions to a pretty scarce 4th quarter add-on activity. Titles running into 2004 are somewhat mum as well.

Here's a plug for our boy, Dw. If you're in the NJ/NY area, make it a point to stop in and catch a Core Device show. And pick up an album, their latest, Our Fellowship Eternal.

We'll be back but right now, I need some sleep.

We'll pop a review from John Dunphy up for tomorrow. He listens to Sick from Dust to Dust. We'll be back.

PS: I sure hope a lot of you are catching the spectacular PBS/Scorsese series, The Blues.

CDs

We have a few adds for you from EMI. The most notable is the inclusion of a David Bowie release, Best of Bowie, Tour Edition. This will be a CD coupled with a DVD. I'm thinking perhaps this might be a combo of the two already released titles on DVD and CD. But we'll see. This will release on December 2.

From one of my favourite labels, King Biscuit, are some adds to their Flower Hour Archives Series. This batch contains 70s Greatest Hits Live; 80s greatest Hits Live; Canned Heat; and Mountain. Expect these to street on November 18.

Motorhead's box, Stone Deaf Forever! has been relocated to November 11.

Hi - Res SACD/DVD-A

I mentioned the supposed slackness of EMI and their hi res releases last week. Reader, Marc Comfort pointed me to a news release from DTS on the joint effort agreement that they have entered into. Many probably already knew this but I include it here for those who did not. We'll keep an eye out there.

Folks wanting to dip their feet into Hi-Rez waters can have a combo player from Pioneer and very easily obtainable from your local Best Buy for only US$179.00 need only to visit their closest store or to visit Best Buy.com. It's a suitable first step and will also play your DVDs in progressive mode. Now...if you can talk yourself into getting a new DVD player that's progressive, you can find out what the hell we all talk about where SACD/DVD-A is concerned, all in the same bargain. Now that's a pretty good deal. The player is Pioneer's DV-563A and can be found online for purchase at Best Buy. Of course, a quick trip will place this machine in your hand right away.

Daily Post

Hello back. We have been working hard all weekend...ask Mrs TAP. Wait...she was here a few days ago. Oh well...Bill and I, along with Mrs TAP and Mrs Bits, caught the Lord of the Rings' trailer for the final installment of the trilogy, The Return of the King. It looks great to say the least. Yeah, I'm saying that "Second Hand Lions" was attached to this trailer. It WAS the only game on the screen. SHL wasn't bad, either.

This week starts off with a new column by John P Dunphy called The John Dunphy Experience, a continuation of sorts from his radio program on WALF radio. It will appear every Monday. Watch for more stuff as the months roll by.

As I was saying earlier, we've been quite busy over the weekend. And we still have a helluva lot to do. For that reason, we're going to take a few days off to try and bring things up to speed. We're also running behind in reviews so we have to catch up in that area as well. Over the next three weeks, we'll spot in and out here just to keep up with info but not to the level you're accustomed. But it's only temporary. Believe me, it's all for the better look and feel.

We've had a few runtime error reports from readers. We're trying to solve those. Hard since we're not really running anything here...at least not yet. If any of you folks have the same error or are experiencing similar problems, keep me informed.

Now on to those fixes, reviews, and a little bit news.

We have a few bumps and new releases so check them out.

CDs

Columbia Records is getting set to release a Live effort from The Dixie Chicks. The untitled set will street on November 25 and will be issued on cassette as well as the standard CD issue.

The Manic Street Preachers will issue Lipstick Traces: A Secret History of The Manic Street Preachers. You can expect this to release on December 23. This comes from Epic Records.

From Legacy, the popular Bat Out of Hell album by Meatloaf will be issued yet again. The date is October 14 and will also come in cassette for this re-issue. Legacy will also issue a Merle Haggard/Willie Nelson title, Pancho & Lefty, on October 21.

Steve Tyrell junkies can get This Guy's In Love, when it releases on October 28, from Columbia Records.

Finally, Asleep at the Wheel's Shout! Factory album release, Asleep at the Wheel Remembers The Alamo, will be issued on November 4.

From a rumour standpoint, it's reported that the Kinks will re-release a 2CD version of Village Green Preservation Society. The hope is that there may be bonus tracks on this set. There is no official word on this but we'll inquire about. The expected issue date is October 13.

October 1 is just around the corner. There are a few XRCD releases from JVC that you should be aware of. The first is an XRCD24 issue, Art Pepper Meets the Rhythm Section. This disc features the Miles Davis rhythm section. The second, Sonny Rollins' Way Out West, also remastered in XRDC24.

The second batch of XRCDs are also due on the 1st of October. They are movie tunes expertly recorded by Japan's Film Studio Orchestra. The first disc, Immortal Masterpieces of Screen Music, feature songs from Gone With The Wind, Jaws, The Graduate, Star Wars, Close Encounters, and other classic films with equally classic music. The second, The Screen Music Masterpieces - The Western, feature the music from How The West Was Won, Rawhide, The Alamo, A Fistful of Dollars, and Shane amongst other great tunes. Below are the cover shots.

Next post, we'll go indepth with some Warner CDs.

Hi Res SACD/DVD-A

I mentioned the supposed slackness of EMI and their hi res releases last week. Reader, Marc Comfort pointed me to a news release from DTS on the joint effort agreement that they have entered into. Many probably already knew this but I include it here for those who did not. We'll keep an eye out there.

Now that's a pretty good deal. The player is Pioneer's DV-563A and can be found online for purchase at Best Buy. Of course, a quick trip will place this machine in your hand right away.

T.Rex, David Crosby, Brian Wilson, Chicago, B-52s, ELP, Frank Sinatra, Graham Nash, and Fleetwood Mac DVD-Audio issues coming soon to that player near you.

Music DVDs

I'm making an 'off the cuff' notation here for an upcoming DVD single by Jade Anderson. Some of you may - or may not - know that Jade is the daughter of Yes frontman, Jon Anderson. This issue is fairly old but it looks as if another push is going to happen for a single off of her 2002 album debut. The DVD single is scheduled for December 23 and is called Sugarhigh. People, we all know just how good Jon Anderson is. So, in case you're interested.

Journey fans will get a DVD issue of Greatest Hits 1978-1997 on November 18. This is the period that is just prior to Steve Augeri and after Steve Perry had already joined. Remember, Journey had no lead vocalist for their first three releases and had hired a shortlived vocalist just prior to Steve Perry's addition. Because the info is sketchy on this disc, I don't know if this is a live setting or a collection of video hits. We'll be back on this title.

Legacy/Columbia will issue a Judas Priest DVD named Electric Eye. This disc will release on November 25. As with the Journey DVD, there is sketchy information available so we'll just write this one on the calendars for a re-check.

The Manic Street Preachers will have a DVD, Forever Delayed, that will street on December 23. Check out their upcoming CD, Lipstick Traces: A Secret History of The Manic Street Preachers.

CDs

This is direct from the latest REM email. They say it better than I could have anyway:

"Here are the details on "In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003." The compilation of R.E.M’s hits will be released on Warner Bros. Records on October 28th in North America and Oct 27th in the rest of the world and will feature two new tracks, "Animal" and the current single, "Bad Day." The tracklisting for "In Time" is as follows:

Man On The Moon
The Great Beyond
Bad Day
What’s the Frequency Kenneth?
All the Way To Reno (You’re Gonna Be A Star)
Losing My Religion
E-bow The Letter
Orange Crush
Imitation Of Life
Daysleeper
Animal
The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite
Stand
Electrolite
All The Right Friends
Everybody Hurts
At My Most Beautiful
Nightswimming

Warner Bros. also will release a special edition of "In Time" which features a second disc of rarities and b-sides. Disc two will include the following tracks: Pop Song '89 (acoustic b-side of Pop Song '89)

Turn You Inside-Out (from Tourfilm)
Fretless (from Until The End Of The World soundtrack)
Chance (dub) b-side from Everybody Hurts
It's A Free World Baby (from Coneheads soundtrack)
Drive (from Live Greenpeace)
Star Me Kitten (featuring William Burroughs from X-Files)
Revolution (from Batman And Robin soundtrack)
Leave (from A Life Less Ordinary soundtrack)
Why Not Smile (Oxford American version)
The Lifting (demo version b-side from Imitation Of Life)
Beat a Drum (demo version b-side from Imitation of Life)
2JN (b-side from Imitation of Life)
The One I Love (live from The Museum Of Television and Radio)
Country Feedback (live from Wiesbaden, Germany, 2003)"

Matt again. This title will also issue on DVD as In View: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003 as well as a DVD-Audio and a 2CD Special Edition. Sorry for the separation but it seemed overkill to repeat this info in all the various categories.

Another release that we don't want to go unnoticed is the EP for The Flaming Lips, Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell. This nifty release will be available the same date as the Yoshimi CD re-issue and the DVD-Audio which is November 11. Just don't forget...save up your pennies. This date is shaping up to be a cash drainer, kids don't get to eat, kinda week.

Red Hot Chili Peppers' untitled next album will be released on November 11. DVD is also in the wrks, release same day.

LeAnn Rimes' Greatest Hits comes on November 18 as well as a new album from Hank Williams, Jr.

Also expected, in time for the final installment of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, is the soundtrack for the film, The Return of the King. Available as standard CD issue, Special Edition CD w/bonus DVD and Hybrid CD/DVD (hmmmm...). Those street on November 25.

Hi Res SACD/DVD-Audio

There are some new dates for some BMG DVD-Audios previously announced and scheduled for November 4. The new date is November 11 for the following titles:

* Foo Fighters - One by One - RCA
* Alicia Keys - Songs in a Minor - J Records
* Rod Stewart - It Had To Be You: The Great American Songbook, volume II - J Records
* Luther Vandross - Dance With My Father - J Records

While we're talking about the release of REM's In Time DVD-Audio, I think that it bears to mention that October 28 will also bring the DVD-Audio of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells 2003; Neil Young's OtB, ASnB, H&D, re.ac.tor, and Greendale; the Rat Pack; and Jackson Browne's spectacular Running on Empty.

The newest date for the Flaming Lips' great Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots on DVD-Audio will be November 11 which is also the new date for the CD release that contains a bonus DVD-Audio disc.

Through the rest of November, Jackson Browne's The Naked Ride Home and R.E.M.'s Green and New Adventures in Hi Fi, street on November 25.

Where's EMI? I know they have 3 Bowie issues as SACD, the truly desireable one being Ziggy Stardust, and Roxy Music's Avalon issue but they are being intolerably slow. We'd like to see a bit more aggression where hi-rez is concerned and we'd certainly like to see Sony step it up as well.

T.Rex, David Crosby, Brian Wilson, Chicago, B-52s, ELP, Frank Sinatra, Graham Nash, and Fleetwood Mac DVD-Audio issues coming soon to that player near you.

Music DVDs

An untitled Foo Fighter DVD originally scheduled for October will now be scheduled for November 11. This DVD comes from RCA Records.

From Bluebird Records comes a DVD, The Howlin' Wolf Story, that's scheduled for release on November 4.

Sanctuary Records have announced the re-scheduling of The Undertones DVD, Teenage Kicks, to be released on February 24, 2004. This is a part of their continuing move to release all of the available Undertones output. As you know, The Undertones featured Feargal Sharkey on vocals. The DVD extras will contain interviews with the band and John Peel; 7 promo videos that have been remixed for 5.1 surround. It will be available in widescreen format.

Fans of Red Hot Chili Peppers will have a DVD, as yet untitled, available for their purchase on November 11. This DVD will coincide with their latest upcoming and untitled CD on the same date.

LPs

P.O.D.'s latest, Payable on Death, will issue on LP on November 18. Other LPs on the schedule are Missy Elliott's This is Not a Test, issuing on November 25.

Daily Post

Our DwDunphy is gearing a new column that will be of benefit to unsigned bands. Our hope is that with the labels that read us, they might pick up an interest based on reviews. But, Dw says it better than I can. Dw...?

"The MusicTAP readership is comprised of some of the most loyal, certainly the most serious, music fans on the web. You’ve come to this site for information on the latest high-end audio software, for our eclectic representation of all music types, not just the top 100, and for the trust that you’re receiving the information from bona fide music lovers, not angry rock-star wannabes with axes to grind… Well, maybe I have a hatchet or two under the bed, but that’s between me and God

It is my pleasure to announce that this site will soon be going beyond anything any other site offers and, in this, will also be offering out a hand to new, unsigned music artists. If you have a CD of some sort, be it a pressing financed with every last dime or a lovingly compiled CD-R, a descriptive presskit and a website, we want to know about you.

Starting in October, MusicTAP will present The Great Unsigned , a monthly column devoted to making the world at large aware of your music. If you think you have what it takes, we want to hear it, and unlike the recognizable “Celebrity Search’ contest shows, if we aren’t impressed, we quietly take a pass. We’re not here to tear down new talent, but to be a fair and honest spotlight for them.

We are waiting for you! Please send your CDs and presskits to:

For the first time, a site with the credibility and steady reader support like MusicTAP is ready to give newcomers that big push; just one more reason to bookmark us and check back daily!

(MusicTAP’s “The Great Unsigned” accepts only original material, with the expressed intention of publicity. All individual copyrights are reserved by the bands and performers.

MusicTAP cannot return materials, so please send only quality duplicates. While MusicTAP appreciates the contributions of cover bands, many of which include talented and hard-working performers, we cannot rightly accept said performances into this column. We will not stand for plagiarism either and all such infringements will be destroyed, not tolerated.)

Thanks Dw. Well folks, a new column and hopefully great exposure for worthy bands.

We'll have reviews for tomorrow and Duane's Pit Stop. Wait'll you see his pics, the crazy bastard.

CDs

Watch for a Joe Cocker issue, The Ultimate Collection, from Hip-O Records, coming to you on January 13. We'll be waiting for that one.

ECM Records will release a new Steve Reich disc, Drumming, to be released on November 11.

Sheryl Crow, whose The Very Best of Sheryl Crow hits stores on November 4 as a DVD-Audio will also be issued in a special Deluxe Edition.

The Pet Shop Boys will release their 2nd 'best of' on November 24 from EMI. It will be joined by a Limited Edition w/ 3rd bonus disc of remixes. Thanks to reader, Damian for the heads up.

We have a few cover shots for you sent in by reader, Mark. Thanks.

We'll have more CD release info tomorrow so check back then.

Hi Res - SACD/DVD-A

Due to an inquisitive email that I received concerning Elton John's upcoming issue of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on SACD, I discovered that Island is preparing another SACD version that will come with a DVD bonus disc. I don't know what's on the bonus disc as of yet but we'll let you know just as soon as we find out. Recap: GYBR will release in separate SACD and SACD/DVD versions. Expect those on November 11.

Daily Post

News is very slight today so we're going to go easy and take a bye on the reviews. Gives us a little time to do some more work on our site, especially a revamped review page. There is a bit of news so we'll reveal what we know and go into the night. We're keeping the Who news intact here because..well, it's BIG. We have a few date bumps today. We also have a Dave Matthews Band Central Park backstep. The album is now 'date to be determined'. C'mon folks, you know it's still comin' out, right?

On September 28 from 9-11p, the 7 film Martin Scorsese produced "The Blues" runs consecutive nights through October 4 on PBS. This groundbreaking film series celebrates the proclaimed Year of the Blues by the US Congress. The series also will yield a 5CD Box set. This collaborative effort between Universal and Columbia/Legacy will be a big release for blues fans. Stay up on this one folks.

There is very exciting news for Who fans, especially those in love with Quadrophenia. Pete is working on a Deluxe Edition for Quadrophenia as well as a DVD-Audio and SACD for the title. It was communicated to us as "a 5.1 mix much the same as Tommy". Since Tommy is going to be delivered to us in the above listed formats, it's only safe to assume it will happen...and why not. We all love Quadrophenia and can finally rejoice in it's impending 5.1 release.

CDs

Peter Gabriel's upcoming 2CD Hit collection will be a fully cooperative effort between Peter Gabriel and his label. Each song (there are 29 tentative songs as the track listing is not final as of this writing.) is newly remastered. This set updates the career hits and favourites of Peter Gabriel while including 3 unreleased tracks - a live version of "Downside Up"; a radio edit of "Blood of Eden", and unreleased "Burn You Up, Burn You Down". Here's a extracted cover shot. The graphic is poor but, hey..you've got a cover, right? Additionally, there will be a handful of radio edits and a remix. Also included is "Father, Son". This set releases on November 4.

Sheryl Crow's 'best of' 2 disc set, The Very Best of Sheryl Crow, is also expected on the 4th of November. This package is done up very nicely with a bonus DVD that includes 12 of her career spanning videos. This digipak crams in 16 songs that includes current single, "First Cut Is The Deepest".

Rounder re-issues pretty cool Leon Redbone XMas CD, Christmas Island. Originally released by Private Music (I know, I have this one), anyone who appreciated Leon Redbone's style of singing will really appreciate his unique and inimitable renditions of this Christmas tunes. Jazzy and ultra-cool. Adam, you'd love this one!

Hip-O Records will release an anthology of Vangelis' most popular music over the expanse of his long and prolific 30 year career. Personally remastered by Vangelis, this set will feature many of the best including movie soundtrack cuts from Blade Runner, 1492, and Chariots of Fire as well as cuts from his non-soundtrack albums. There are even two cuts from one of his earliest, (one that I still have on LP), Albedo 0.39 from 1976. There will be a new track, "Celtic Dawn" as well as two bonus tracks with the fantastic "I'll Find My Way Home", and "State of Independence", both sung by Jon Anderson of Yes. As with the others, this releases on November 4. I love Hip-O Records.

We earlier spoke of Christmas. Moody Blues have a Christmas disc coming, December. December arrives on October 28 and will feature the Blues' style of XMas favourites including "In The Bleak Midwinter" and "Happy XMas (War is Over)". Add this to the Jethro Tull Christmas Album and the batch of Christmas Millennium Collection titles from Universal and you have a lotta Xmas songs at your disposal. Hey, it's around the corner, ain't it?

Hi Res - SACD/DVD-A

We would like to thank reader Rezaul Laskar for his point to this Rocky Mountain News article. The article is one that highlights the increasing awareness of those new-fangled discs they're calling hi res. It involves a brief discussion with Elliot Scheiner, whose work with Steely Dan's DVD-Audios and other really great works. There's also a little hint in there about what's presently being worked on. And they're good 'uns. Thanks again, Rezaul.

Tommy is an important release for Who fans and SACD enthusiasts. Complete over two discs, the SACD Deluxe Edition feature the original album in the popular SACD Hybrid format. Disc One will contain the entirety of Tommy and mixed in 5.1 personally by Pete Townshend. The second disc contains 12 unreleased outtakes and alternate versions from the sessions. There are 5 demos that round out the second disc. The demos are "It's a Boy"; "Amazing Journey"; "Christmas"; "Do You Think It's Alright?; and "Pinball Wizard". The set will include an expanded booklet of photos from the Tommy sessions. This SACD gem will be released on October 28. And to think that we have Quadrophenia coming.

Music DVDs

Sanctuary is issuing a DVD to keep it's CD issue of Lynyrd Sknyrd's The Vicious Cycle Tour, company. The DVD will release on November 18.

Jive Records have scheduled in a Justin Timberlake DVD, Live in London. The DVD will issue with a bonus CD. You can pencil this on your calendar for November 18.

Peter Gabriel's rumoured DVD is finally going to be a reality on November 4. The DVD is a featured show from his performance in Milan, Italy and will contain 17 songs digitally mixed and mastered in Dolby Stereo and 5.1 Surround as well as DTS Surround. Bonus materials will be a 'making of Growing Up', a photo gallery, and a bonus song, a remix of "More Than This".

LPs

November 18 is the date for a Rage Against the Machine album that will be issued on LP. The album is titled Live at the Grand Olympic Auditorium. The set will carry a Parental Advisory.

The Strokes will issue their second work, Room on Fire, on October 28 for LP.

It seems as if more and more releases are doubling up as LP releases. Time to get hip?

Thanks for the ton of email saying how well you liked the new look. It certainly took a little bit of time but I got to enjoy many CDs as I was making it over. That included Bob Dylan's SACD of Street Legal. It's terrific, folks. We're still working on the review page, including many of the other pages as well. but I'm digging it. Your responses make it all worth it.

There is very exciting news for Who fans, especially those in love with Quadrophenia. Pete is working on a Deluxe Edition for Quadrophenia as well as a DVD-Audio and SACD for the title. The Strokes upcoming new album, Room on Fire, is scheduled to be released on October 28. LP info and cover art below.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for the November 4 release of David Bowie's newest, Reality. Just an FYI.

Also, Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic SACD appearance will soon be here. It is scheduled for October 7. Here's a cover shot for you.

Music DVDs

It will contain the complete live concert from Brixton Academy in London in addition to the complete set of 6 HBO shows that are not available elsewhere. But there's more to this one. Videos? Check! Behind the scenes footage, short films from live appearances and TV appearances? Check! Never before seen commercial appearances? Check! This is a true complete Masterworks set. Daily Post

Well, whaddya know?! MusicTAP takes on yet another look in it's bid to become more professional looking. Of course, there are broken links everywhere and lots of unfinished "parts". But we'll get to those. We're working on a nice review page to go along with these new digs. I hope that you'll like it.

Well...another weekend down and not many more to go before it's Christmas yet again. We have a huge batch of review discs to get through and so little time to do them but I can promise you that we'll eventually catch up. 2004 will bring us closer to a better realization of MusicTAP. With daily readers coming on board at such a rapid pace, well...we're just as happy as can be.

The folks from Zagat, you know, the travel/restaurant people, have a book coming out, Zagat's Music Guide, their first foray into the heady world of music. It will arrive at stores on September 23. We're trying to get an early copy so that we can let you know if it's worth its' US$14.95 retail price. It's rating and review of 1000 of the top albums of all time is an ambitious one. Participated in by over 10000 listeners, this book covers 22 genres with indexing considered extensive. Sounds interesting.

Let's see whats coming our way in the weeks ahead.

CDs

Nat King Cole fans will be interested to know that EMI has a singles collection on schedule for a November 4 release. The album is aptly named, Nat King Cole's The Singles Collection. Thalia long posted 'best of' will soon be available. It will issue in several styles, standard CD and CD w/ DVD included. The album, Thalia's Greatest Hits, will be in stores on November 18.

Here's a reminder of the great album titles from great artists that are coming soon. Iggy Pop's Skull Ring, his first with the Stooges in many, many moons. I believe there are only four tracks recorded with the original boys but it has to rock. We're looking forward to that one here at TAP. That album streets on November 4. Also on this date, Bob Seger's hotly debated Greatest Hits, Volume Two is expected as well.

Blue Note hits the shelves on November 18 with a huge run for Al Green's latest, an as-yet undetermined title. Keep watching for news of that right here.

On December 2, David Bowie's reconstituted 4CD Box, Sound + Vision will be re-released. It will be updated and may end up being a franchise box for the Duke. This issues from Virgin Records.

EMI issues a Hollies album, The Long Ride Home on December 2. Watch here for the details that are forthcoming.

For February, Capitol has a new Kylie Minogue title on the schedules for the 10th. This disc is untitled as of yet. Capitol's expected Queensryche title, Unreleased Rarities, is now scheduled for May 4 of 2004.

We have advance information on the upcoming Tori Amos collection that is slated for release on November 18. This collection, Tales of a Librarian, will contain 20 songs. Sixteen of those are favourites and hits from her catalog with 2 re-recorded rarities and 2 brand new tracks. It will come with a bonus DVD that will have 3 newly filmed live songs along with two additional live audio tracks remixed in 5.1. The new songs are called "Angels" and "Snow Cherries". The B-sides are "Mary" and "Sweet Dreams". The live videos are of "Pretty Good Year"; "Honey"; and "Northern Lad". The remixed 5.1 audios are "Putting The Damage On"; and "Mr Zebra". The set concludes with an extensive photo gallery.

On September 23, Radiant/Metalblade Records will release the debut solo outing for ex-Spock's Beard vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist, Neil Morse. The 2CD album, Testimony, recounts the spiritual transformation of Morse as he moved from California to Nashville, becoming spiritually awakened and its subsequent effects on his life and of those around him. The album is two hours plus in length and enjoys the same style of music that you are accustomed to with the work of Morse. The album comes in both the standard issue and a limited edition that will include a bonus 13 minute rendition of The Moody Blues' "Tuesday Afternoon" as well as "Can't Find My Way Home", a Blind Faith song. The first 100 mail-order issues will be personally autographed by Neil Morse. Go to Radiant Records website for details and purchase.

Hi Res SACD/DVD-A

We would like to thank reader Rezaul Laskar for his point to this Rocky Mountain News article. The article is one that highlights the increasing awareness of those new-fangled discs they're calling hi res. It involves a brief discussion with Elliot Scheiner, whose work with Steely Dan's DVD-Audios and other really great works. There's also a little hint in there about what's presently being worked on. And they're good 'uns. Thanks again, Rezaul.
